Remote Surface for iOS and iPadOS
Effective April 12, 2026Remote Surface collects no personal data whatsoever. We do not gather, store, transmit, or process any personal information from our users. There are no analytics, no trackers, no advertising networks, and no third-party data sharing of any kind.
Remote Surface is an SSH tunnel browser. It connects to servers you configure, stores your SSH credentials securely on your device, and provides a built-in browser for accessing remote services through those tunnels. Your data stays on your device, under your control, at all times.

We do not collect any personal data, usage data, analytics, device identifiers, or any other form of information from you. Period.
The only credentials the app handles are your SSH connection details (hostnames, usernames, SSH keys, and passwords). These are used exclusively to establish SSH connections to servers you configure. They are:
Remote Surface integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app contains no social sharing buttons, no ad networks, no crash reporting services that phone home, and no behavioral tracking of any kind.
All data remains entirely on your device:
None of this data ever leaves your device. We have no servers, no databases, and no infrastructure that could receive or store your information.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you have the following data subject rights under Articles 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, and 21. (Article 19 imposes a controller obligation to notify recipients of rectification or erasure; since we process no personal data, this obligation does not apply.) Because Remote Surface collects no personal data, exercising any of these rights is straightforward — there is nothing to access, correct, or delete from our systems.

All data stored on your device (SSH credentials, server configurations, preferences) is fully under your control. You may delete it at any time by removing entries within the app or by uninstalling the app entirely.

Because Remote Surface does not collect or process any personal information, there is no data to disclose, correct, or delete from our systems. All SSH credentials and configuration data reside solely on your device under your direct control.

Remote Surface is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children of any age. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, there is no risk of collecting data from minors. If you become aware that a child has somehow provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will take immediate steps to address the situation.
